In January, we brought you The Most anticipated Internet Business Book Releases of 2013 for the first half of the year. The post includes instructions for searching Amazon for upcoming releases to pre-order, allowing us to get our hands on the latest information before it becomes obsolete. Knowing what’s coming also allows us to select the books that will be most useful to us to better utilize our book budget. Being a seriously perpetual learner, I enjoy finding and pre-ordering these books. However, I understand that it might be a tedious exercise for some so I’m sharing my picks with you.
The second half of 2013 promises more knowledge to help us keep up with online business, which by nature is in a constant state of evolution. The release dates aren’t necessarily the shipping dates, so you’ll find some that were anticipated in July are still not available, etc.

Technology has placed retail in a state of perpetual evolution, and statistics show Canada is lagging behind in adaptation. Reshaping Retail is intended to motivate, inspire and help store retailers in the transformation to a new consumer-driven world.

Retail in Detail(5th edition), by Ronald L. Bond, has been revised and updated to include digital retail. Retail in Detail now covers online marketing and engagement, a step-by-step guide to entering the world of eCommerce, and “how to assess product vulnerability to competition from Internet businesses.”

80/20 Sales and Marketing: The Definitive Guide to Working Less and Making More, By Perry Marshall, takes the 80/20 rule and uses it to power a complete marketing and sales framework. The book includes 80/20 software tools that truly focus sales and marketing professionals.

His book covers the vast potential of eMail for business, from information mining to improved customer service.

Start Your Own Online Coupon or Daily Deal Business, by Rich Mintzer and Entrepreneur Magazine, takes us into the popular world of online couponing and deal searching. Most interesting to me is the coupon app expertise.

E-Commerce Operations Management, by Marc J. Schniederjans, is my only text book pick for the second half of 2013. With Canadian businesses struggling to enter the eCommerce and mCommerce (mobile) realm, I believe it will be highly useful to reference a reliable, thorough source of information.

The Everything Guide to Selling Arts & Crafts Online: How to sell on Etsy, eBay, your storefront, and everywhere else online, by Kim Solga, covers it all in typical ‘everything guide’ style. While I won’t be preordering this one since it’s not related to my business, I believe it will be highly useful to many who are looking to start a home-based craft business in Canada.
