Update: Avantlink now requires copies of personal identification, business licenses etc. in order to pay affiliates. This is completely unnecessary and your identity may be stolen. We strongly advise you to never provide this information and avoid any network that demands it.
AvantLink celebrated its 7th anniversary by launching a new branch of its affiliate network for those serving the lucrative Canadian market. Some of the partnerships offered in the Canadian network include eLUXE, North by Northwest, Canadian Cartel, and Skullcandy.
The Canadian network operates much the same as the American network, with the obvious difference being payments. AvantLink’s
minimum payment threshold is relatively high for both networks, starting at a $50 minimum for bank direct deposits or $100 for a cheque. Unfortunately, there is no Paypal option for the Canadian affiliate network like there is for the US division. We’re hoping that will change in the near future.
AvantLink is a somewhat common choice for affiliate marketers, ranking number ten in popularity among affiliate marketers participating in the 2012 Affiliate Summit AffStat Report. It’s a user-friendly network with a good choice of affiliate programs.
You can join the Canadian network through AvantLink. Log in and select the Canadian option from the Account drop down menu at the top of the page to join.

Affiliate networks sometimes forget that we’re they’re bread and butter. Less affiliates means less butter. Treat them well and you’ll get plenty of bread!
Lower the payout to $25 and bring in Paypal and I’d consider it. I’m not handing over my bank information to every network that demands it and I’m certainly not going to cooperate with a $100 cheque payout minimum. If networks want to cash in on Canadians they have to get over the foolish attitude that Canadians are easily taken advantage of. Sure we’re nice & polite, but we’re not pushovers or idiots.
